Social Media cycle for return on investment (ROI)

---

The return on investment is still considered one of the most important issues between the companies, brands and advertisers. However, not all have found the right formula to establish and improve processes and parameters when measuring and quantifying the return on their investment.

Jamie Turner, head of the contents of the "60 second marketer" and co-author of publications such as "How to Make Money with Social Media", in a recent article on Mashable points out the great general interest in social media and especially those aspects related to the methods for calculating the ROI of advertising and marketing campaign through the media.

Turner, examined how companies plan to launch and manage their social media campaigns, reaching the identifying three different stages during this process.

Stage 1: The Beginning.

When the company enters the world of Social Media, focuses on creating and updating profiles on the four major social networks: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube, and then add some other tools that may be of interest as Flickr, SlideShare , blogs and newsletters, among other social media platforms. But the initiative, all companies tend to appear first in the four social networks listed.

When the company is at this stage, priority delivery on the permanence in time, because the objective is simply to start as soon as possible and move into advanced techniques, so the marketing department, if any, responded by vacuum without a long-term planning.

The mistake that most believe will get results is impressive, when in reality the progress will be, with few exceptions, insignificant. All that remains is to say "I did a campaign on social networks" going to criticize them for not having been successful, but in reality has not reached the second stage.

Stage 2: Management.

When the company reaches this point, we note that a 60% focuses on the four dominant social networks, of which 10% of the attention is focused on creative development, 20% in the monitoring of quantitative indicators such as the traffic or inbound links, and 10% in the scorecard, like the feeling of belonging to the mark by users.

While it still has no long-term planning, has already reached the middle, it will begin to see new developments and many more opportunities. The goal here is to attract potential customers and strive to be recognized and followed by them, increase visits to their websites, increasing sales or by observing that each day they find a "like" back in their Facebook pages.

This site is where the most sophisticated companies that have begun to manage their social presence and care for his reputation, beginning in his creativity and following all the quantitative and qualitative analysis. Few who come to the third stage.

Stage 3: Optimization.

When a company reaches this level, we see that 25% of their attention to account for the four social networks and some other alternative tool, 30% is divided equally between the creative and qualitative indicators, while other 25% focuses on optimizing your marketing campaigns on social networks.

This is where the complications begin to look for is the time to begin to use more sophisticated tools to attract customers, measuring each of its steps, implementing actions as may be to create two different landing pages to see which of them receives more clicks, or use tools such as DART, a global platform that optimizes ad management functions ad, generating even more publicity margins, which also allows us to see the results of various marketing campaigns.

When you finish these campaigns is the time to start measuring the ROI, which is possible, though many think otherwise, and that can be done very simple: take some customers called "lifetime." Namely, if a customer spends € 10 a month in his company and remains faithful for three years, the value to you that customer is 360 €.

Get a new client, as shown by data from several companies, will cost 10% of the value of customer life, ie only 36 €. If the company invests in a year € 36,000 to generate marketing campaigns on social networks, and obtained in the same period of 1000 while new customers will be earning far more than you invested.

The biggest problem encountered is usually the patient, as not all companies are willing to raise long-term strategies and those who expect an ROI at the beginning, it will not seek to do to reverse the way we showed today.

Augmented reality prepares to reaching the general public over the next decade

---

---

Over the next decade, augmented reality will grow along with Internet and mobile devices, so that will reach to a global audience in 2021. Very soon be a reality thanks to enrich normal, for example, glasses that multiply the information of what we see in real time.

One of the conclusions of the report "Augmented Reality: A new lens for seeing the world ', released by the Fundación Telefónica, the second of the case belonging to SiE10 project, which was first introduced in Spain this week at the Museum de las Ciencias Principe Felipe in Valencia.

Augmented reality (in English or augmented reality AR) is the set of technologies that allow the overlay, in real time, images, bookmarks or virtually generated information on real-world images.

The report is structured in two parts: the first contains an analysis of technology and services and the latter the result of the debate from a group of experts who, after reading the technical report, spoke at the headquarters of Telefónica Foundation on the implications and future of this technology in terms of fields of expertise.

Consultants like Gartner, show that the RA will take between 5 and 10 years to reach the global audience gradually, although the introduction has already begun. According to AIB, the RA will grow, mainly due to the rise of handheld devices, especially the said smartphone (although the hand held consoles) from a turnover of $ 6 million in 2008 to 350 million in 2014, representing an annual growth rate (CARG) of 97%.

To make these services possible are needed several agents and factors, device manufacturers, the work of software developers that allows applications necessary for visual recognition and image processing, content providers (Nintendo, EA, Scholastic , etc.) and the content of the users that generate it (Facebook, LinkedIn, Wikipedia, etc.).

An essential aspect of the RA is the network, with availability of seamless connectivity, precisely because these services provide access to digital information complementary to the physical world and updated in real time.

Uses and Applications

RA applications that can take on different aspects of our daily life ranging from video games to use in education, through health and marketing, among others.

The marketing and sales processes are areas where more is being implemented at this time the RA. In relation to marketing, companies see the RA as a way to differentiate with respect to competition, giving the user the ability to access striking visual experience. In the field of sales, the big advantage is the option to check the result of the purchase without having to physically test the product, which is ideal in Internet sales.

Although today many of the initiatives of RA have focused on the area of leisure and marketing, "is expected to spread to other areas as the technology matures and further simplify," says the analysis.

Sectors such as tourism, education and health are also beginning to have a large group of applications, which must be added those who have traditionally been used more these technologies (even in the broadest sense of immersive RA) and military , manufacturing and automotive and aircraft maintenance and training skills.

Trends

The RA is a relatively young but beginning to live a "certain age of gold due to the development of smartphones." Although it should be considered the beginning of a development that will advance "the rate of maturation of information technology." This evolution will be marked according to their usability and functionality, which will require new services, "much more convenient to use by people with many more capabilities."

Today computers and mobile phones are the two types of devices used, although it is expected that with the development of display technologies along with the miniaturization of components make it feasible to allow the dream of glasses where the glass directly overprint information virtual.

The last step of these systems would be to create lenses that can be placed directly on the human eye and which show the virtual information, although this is still considered a long-term goal but far from impossible.

---

The importance of Twitter for marketing strategy for your company

---

---

For many of us, joining a network is not too much trouble but companies are still looking for a basic foundation to be represented there. If we consider the Harvard Business Review report made Analytic Services, see that only 12% of companies surveyed are using social media effectively.

As in any sphere of life, exploration and experimentation are feasible steps to enter the social media marketing, but the key to success in social networks is the identification that the user of how a brand used by each channel. Once established, a matter of following the process of testing and refinement to achieve the goals we set for ourselves.

For many companies, understanding the benefits and specific uses of each tool 2.0 represent a challenge and start to cheer. Taking a quick look at all options, Twitter is presented as the basic and essential service to our business. Why this network and not another?

According to this study, 75% of companies said they did not know what their customers were talking about them. This is where Twitter is more powerful by enabling real-time viewing with a simple set of search results.

If we turn the dynamics and started to participate and interact, we will provide our target audience much more material to begin to talk about us as well as allow us to understand the true essence of social networks: communication and outreach to the user .

A very important thing to note: on Twitter we are human. If only our state update with the latest company news or press releases that you throw will not obtain significant results because users prefer to access our blog or website. Creative initiatives, upload images of events in which we participate or promotions are some actions we can take to achieve this goal.

If you want to learn, Twitter is definitely our tool, because just by typing a question will get many useful answers that will help us find answers. Our fans are always willing to help and answer our questions.

We should note one very important detail: the confidence to generate conversation and even, with the acceptance of criticism or negative comments, provided they are well-meaning, of course. Learn to accept our users give us a high reputation.

---

2.3.11

Why your company should be on social networks

---

---

One of the biggest challenges companies this year will be to find balance in their marketing strategies, involve social networks there. Why is something so elusive?

Companies often look for quick results, and e-mail marketing is often to the forefront by the speed and scope has. Social networks on the other hand, involve a much more difficult and even slower when we want to present the company or a particular campaign, which many see it as an investment without return.

Another factor that often deters the interaction with users, as many see it as a waste time, but nothing is further from the truth. There are two strong reasons for which should be in social networking as a company:

1 - Communication 2.0 - Be present in media such as Facebook or Twitter is not only convenient (and almost obligatory) for the changes that occur in the network, but it will help us loyal users and potential customers. Listening is the basis of everything and keep the feedback, eventually, will give us many more advantages.

2 - Their real long-term potential - What attracts most of the e-mail marketing is the scope you have and its speed, so having the mails of the users is the most important but specialized database that can manage to have with tools like Twitter or Facebook, will allow us to develop many more campaigns to meet our customers / potential customers.

The existing CRM databases created on the basis of basic profiles, using a combination of geographic location along with some behaviors. With social networks perfected this profile as much in real time, generates much more data than we can be of great use in future marketing campaigns. Would generate a real-time CRM and its potential is much greater.

This data can capture and transform with MDM (Master Data Management), which although not an easy job, we will in future have a very complete vision about our users / customers, allowing specific campaigns as needed they arise.

It is true that the inclusion in social networks can be slower, but we must be on them if we continue to be updated and distributed on the internet, and most importantly, we must not forget that we have to win the confidence of users that give the "I like "generating quality content and interest but, more importantly, generating a lot of feedback.

---
