Differentiation and added value: The secret that makes SMEs in Big Companies

---

---

I recently came across the headline, "The gazpacho goes for America" summarizing the article, the company Alvalle (Pepsi owns this company) after market 40% of its production in France and Belgium has opted for a new market is the U.S. which is growing obsession with healthy eating.

I guess the readers are thinking "Normal is a great company can allow new markets to achieve, grow, etc ...." But I wonder why we think or why you think that.

Our environment consists of small and medium enterprises are the most jobs, more wealth they generate and those that generate more innovation, in my experience as a consultant I have found companies that develop and design new products that makes a engineer friend, with companies (fewer than 10 employees) that have a higher quality product to its competitors (127 workers) and I find examples of this every day. At the end of all our efforts to achieve their goals.

What is the difference between these companies Alvalle difference (Pepsi)? For the latest plans and studies the market and see what are the opportunities presented to the end achieve the objectives. SMEs can also do the same and not have to spend a fortune on big market research or to identify trends. SMEs have an advantage that large and have no direct contact they have with their customers and that language from you to you who have trouble getting big.

Based on this advantage that SMEs forget is asking its customers to do well or badly, what products or services demand or need, what are the improvements that need our products or services, etc. .. With this little market research, the next step is to do what the larger study the data and plan to achieve the objectives.

Now someone will say, "I can do this but if you need large investments would grow," why fix everything with money?. Another factor to bear in mind that SMEs are flexible and do not lack imagination, why not consider collaborating with other growth companies similar to yours in other cities, provinces or regions. The great do to be deployed in other countries and the formula works for them can be transferred to smaller levels, the level of SMEs, usually two or three paddle farther than one.

These marketing activities are simple and affordable for any SME, the problem that I encounter daily is that SMEs believe that marketing is expensive, it only focuses on communication actions and that is only for large companies all great medium has been small company before and what has grown is the difference (value added) and this is what they forget, if you're not looking for that difference one in the market.

How users use Twitter through an illustrated Infographics

Twitter was not intended to be a social network. In fact it was created as a message service to a private company. Today, with more than 200 million queries a day, Twitter has become a social network where real-time broadcast news, messages, links and multimedia content with the savings to do so only 140 characters.

It is also perhaps the most efficient social network among the top five and that's what gives it more charm. It is simple and not complicate things, the same reason that SMS remains popular, even among adolescents in a world full of media sites.

Twitter is still working on your business model is currently based on income alone Sponsored tweets, which are expensive and probably only make sense for a great brand to use as part of their marketing campaigns. Google, Facebook and LinkedIn provide self-service advertising platform easy to use, available to all.

Twitter also has to be the most misunderstood social platform media, with many people every day asking "why do you use?" Or "what is this?".

To shed some light on the concepts, here you have an interesting infographic on the use of Twitter and some interesting data.

---

The power of email marketing in 2011 leads advertisers to plan their holiday activities

---

---

The click rates and opening of emails have increased significantly this year compared to 2010 figures, with 23% and 11% respectively. And advertisers are beginning to prepare for a strong holiday season already begins to reveal much more intense than the previous year.

As stated by Chad White, director of research provider Responsys email marketing, brands and should start planning your email marketing campaigns for Christmas. "Advertisers faster, frankly, have already started planning for Christmas," he claimed.

Planning that extends from the messages before the holiday season until the end of the year, and in which subscribers are asked to update their preferences and sent surveys to find out the interest of consumers. Moreover, as White said in DMNews, advertisers can also leverage pre-Christmas emails to encourage consumers to register to receive the printed catalog. "Because the prices of printing and distribution are those that are a tactical advantage in terms of savings," he claimed.

The months are most conducive to begin preparations for pre-Christmas season are August and September and make a clean email programs, because consumers may not be disenrolled in November after receiving a huge volume of marketing emails White said is that, according to analysts, consumers and unsubscribe have considered before they come November.

According to the guide Responsis for the Christmas season of 2011, half the stores began their email marketing campaign on 17 October 2010. In 2009 began on October 19 and in 2008 28. "Vendors are trying to move forward, be the first. Last year we saw how the Black Friday deals were available much earlier in November than in previous years, "he claimed.

How to integrate the catalog sales in social networks

---

---

When we talk about social media take a systematic way, as a reference brands as Coca-Cola, Dell and markets like the U.S.. Our friends in France are very pleased to see this success story across the Atlantic, but also issues that seem to be far from their daily concerns. Therefore, the blogger has interviewed Grégory Pouy Gwenola Toulemonde, director of branded content La Redoute, to learn more about the strategy they are doing in social media.

According to this blogger, is one of the best examples of what is being done in the social web. On how to integrate the brand in social media, Toulemonde Gwenola offers some points to remember: there is no social media strategy, but their integration into the overall strategy is essential, you need to think first about the value of media for consumers and the brand and to answer these questions is the key to convince their leaders that it is necessary to be present in social networks (works better than "it must be because you have to be").

In terms of investment to gain a foothold in the media and the return of this investment we can expect, these are the keys:
1. Start small, for example, prioritizing customer service
2. Understand the usefulness of each tool
4. Trying to understand who your fans (who the customers are, what your brand recommended)

On a good strategy to have a presence on Facebook, it is important to remember that fans are defined (rarely) as fans of the brand and its customers are in the communities, we must define / prioritize and give a specific content for each of them. In this sense, La Redoute has made many tests and it is important to note that:
1. You have to make small-scale test and predict their communication budget for innovation
2. The evidence tends to show what really makes sense for your brand and its fans, so it's a religion
3. When a test is successful, think about how to develop it. When not working, one must ask why and, if necessary, do not go in that direction

To conclude this interview, there are two key points: we must think in this presence on the base of the communities in which they are customers, not trying to bring the brand to a community that does not exist, and the fact that we must leave room for innovation and being responsive and flexible.
