With "+1" Google Internet users can make if they like a search result.

El buscador de Google se está volviendo social y así lo ha dejado saber tras la confirmación de la utilización del botón “+1”, que de inicio se pensó podría ser su nueva red social, pero en realidad es un complemento que irán incluyendo lentamente, primero en Estados Unidos, aunque en meses estará en todo el mundo.
Su función es sencilla, lo veremos al final de cada resultado de búsquedas y cuando lo presionemos, quedará registrado para nuestros contactos, quien cundo busque el mismo término verá el que hemos marcado como favorito, apareciendo en sus resultados como destacado, mencionando que nosotros lo resaltamos.
¿De dónde salen los contactos? Son tomados de nuestra agenda de Gmail en primer lugar, y también de aquellas personas que agregamos en Twitter y YouTube, lo que hemos podido ver con Google Circles, aunque desde el gigante de búsquedas esperan seguir añadiendo medios sociales.
En cuanto a la privacidad, Matt Cutts, máximo responsable de Google, expresó que todos nuestros contactos podrán ver cuándo hemos marcado el botón “+1”. En caso de no querer que los contactos lo vean, tenemos como opciones o bien no marcar un resultado como “Favorito” (que tendría una función similar al “me gusta” de Facebook), o bien bloquear al contacto que no deseamos se entere de ello. Lógicamente que también podemos desmarcarlo, y con ello desaparecerá automáticamente de todos lados.
El botón “+1” también se agregará en los anuncios de un resultado de búsqueda, con lo que se podrá evaluar qué palabras interesan realmente al usuario y se evitarán aquellas inútiles, lo que le da un gran valor no sólo al consumidor, sino también al anunciante pues “podrá ver cuántas personas votan un anuncio”.
También se emitirán widgets para blogs y sitios, que una vez colocados permitirá a los lectores de la web votar el contenido.
